We听have made it another month in the virtual environment, and I don鈥檛 know about you, but I am ready to see folks in person again.听听The听agency听continues to听work primarily听remotely听with a high level of productivity, maintaining a call hold time of under 2 minutes, and processing 5 months of renewals after the COVID extensions expired.听听
Rule and Contract Changes Proposals听听
At the August Commission meeting, several听changes to the rules and promulgated contract forms were proposed, including how leases and the option fee is addressed in the contract. These proposals reflect听modifications recommended by the Broker Lawyer Committee and听are currently open for听public comment.听I encourage you to take the time to review the changes and provide us with your comments.听The Commission relies on your feedback听to听make听smart choices听about rules and forms that greatly affect your work.听听
Real Estate CE Changes听听
Beginning in February 2021,听听will be required for all sales agents and brokers within听the听18 hours of听required听continuing education.鈥齌his coursework is not promulgated, but rather,听license holders can take any approved听course听(or courses)听related to contracts.听听As February nears, license holders can expect to听see听additional details in our newsletter and on our website.听听
Customer Service听听
As I mentioned above, Commission听staff听continue to provide excellent customer听service. I am pleased to report that even though听星空体育app下载听had a monumentally heavy call volume on the last days of August, call hold times had a minimal uptick. This is thanks to the hard work of our Customer Relations team,听who have worked to be responsive to fluctuations in incoming inquiries and that hard work is noticeable when we have days like this.听听听
Committee Updates听听
The听Broker Responsibility听Working group听met September 9, and will meet again on October 14. This working group is听making听recommendations to the Commission for potential changes on听鈥渉ot topics鈥� like license portability听and听broker听license听requirements.听听You are welcome to virtually attend any of these meetings, details of which are on our听website.听听Additionally, the听Inspector听Committee and Education Standards Advisory Committee听are accepting applications for members through September 21 at 5 pm.听听
The Commission鈥檚听next meeting听will be听November 10, 2020.听I hope you will attend.听听听
