Happy March. Spring is approaching聽and with it comes聽a fresh start and the excitement of warmer weather.聽I welcome it after the freezing temperatures we experienced in February.聽I hope all of you made it through that extraordinary event safely.听听

Commission Meeting Update聽

The聽Commission met Friday,聽February 19. We published an聽article on the website聽reviewing聽all the proposed and adopted rules and聽highlighting聽the contract form changes, and you can see the full meeting聽on our website.听听

As always, we encourage our聽license聽holders to familiarize themselves with these changes. The comment period is March 12 through April 11. You can聽provide feedback聽to the Commission on proposed rules聽by emailing聽[email protected]聽or by utilizing our new online public comment tool.聽 Reach the tool聽by聽scrolling to the bottom of聽this page聽to the 鈥渞ecently proposed rules.鈥澛� Under the synopsis of each rule change, you will see an icon you can click to submit a comment.听听

In case you missed it, Chair聽Kesner聽and I hosted another聽"Coffee with the Commission"聽this week. We had almost 200 license holders join us. It was a great way to聽connect with聽some of you聽and answer your questions.聽If you聽could not聽join us live, we will post the video later this week.聽Be sure to look out for聽Coffee聽in May.听听

New Contract Forms鈥疉vailable鈥���

The recently adopted contract forms are available on our website for voluntary use.聽They will become mandatory as of April 1.聽Use extra caution during this聽transition period聽to ensure you are aware of what version of contract and addenda聽is being used.听听聽聽聽

Additionally,聽we have the redline versions of these contracts available on our website.聽You can use those聽redline versions聽to聽see the changes easily聽and聽for training purposes.聽In addition, we published an article聽last month on the鈥痗hanges to the delivery of option fee.听听

The Broker Lawyer Committee worked for more than a year to bring these form changes to fruition.听听I am grateful for their significant contribution, the comments of so many of you,聽many hours of staff work, and聽the attention by the commissioners to complete this big job.聽

COVID-19 Update聽

聽The building in which we are located is not yet open to the public. We are making plans to again receive visitors at our office and will be poised and ready when the building opens.聽 We have missed serving license holders in person and look forward to the day we can do so again.聽 星空体育app下载 staff continue to work primarily remotely for the time being, though we are 100% open for business to fulfill the mission of our work.聽

Here鈥檚 to hoping this spring brings with it more opportunities to be face to face聽and聽a return to some level of normalcy.聽
