This September, we remember the 20th聽anniversary of September 11.聽 And as I listen to that day relived, I relive my own version of聽the day聽with the hope that we never experience another day of such聽despair聽and sadness.聽聽And may we never forget those who lost their lives that day, so many of whom were rushing to care for others.聽聽聽

Contact Center Updates聽

To address the recent uptick in the call聽hold聽times,聽I am聽happy聽to announce聽that聽星空体育app下载聽has hired聽several聽new staff members to work in the contact聽center.聽聽Your time is valuable聽and we are committed to providing excellent customer service. This includes guaranteeing fast access to getting the assistance you need. Hiring new team members, training them, and getting them on the phones will聽significantly impact聽our聽ability to meet聽that聽commitment.聽聽

RSC's聽Transferred to TDLR聽

The new fiscal year began September 1,聽and聽with聽the new year comes聽the effective date of聽many聽new laws聽passed during the last legislative session.聽 One that affects our world is the聽move of residential service company regulation from 星空体育app下载 to TDLR.聽聽Residential聽service companies, or home warranties, were a unique part of our agency. The transition has been smooth, and the team here at 星空体育app下载 has remained in touch with TDLR to assist as needed.聽聽

Coffee with the Commission聽

We recently hosted another聽"Coffee with the Commission"聽session. If you聽could not attend the session, you can see the聽recording on the website. We discussed the new PID addendum, contract changes, and more.聽Coffee with the Commission creates a聽unique opportunity for license holders to ask questions and talk directly with the Commission Chair and staff. We will see you next time, after the November Commission meeting.聽聽

License Count

The start of the new fiscal year also聽allows us聽to review the previous year's statistics. We聽ended the 2021 fiscal year with聽a record total of license holders.聽星空体育app下载's聽license count increased by 16,293聽to聽a total of聽218,735.聽 We have had a steady increase since 2012, but this was the聽most significant聽jump in at聽least the last 20 years.聽 It represents a 0.74% increase.聽聽These are truly unprecedented times.聽聽

During these聽strange聽times, I am reminded of the importance of practicing kindness. We are all working hard to return to聽what was once聽"normal."聽I know聽all of us聽have been directly impacted by the pandemic聽in one way or another.聽聽As we forge ahead in the pandemic,聽growing more tired of it by the day, I urge you聽to work especially hard to practice professionalism, and more importantly,聽kindness.聽聽With each of us practicing this extra measure of kindness,聽we can affect our small world, and the global one.聽
