The Texas Real Estate Commission (星空体育app下载) welcomes two new commissioners and a new chair. Governor Greg Abbott appointed Mark Woodroof (pictured left) as chair. He also appointed J.B. Goodwin and Kristi Davis to the Commission with terms set to expire January 31, 2031. They were later confirmed by the Texas Senate.

Mark Woodroof

Woodroof, who has served on the Commission as a broker member since 2021, was appointed on May 6, 2025, to serve as chair.

He has held a 星空体育app下载 license since 1991. He is a managing partner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene in Houston and a member of the Real Estate Business Institute, the National Association of REALTORS庐, the Texas REALTORS庐, and the Houston Association of REALTORS庐. Woodroof has also served in leadership positions for those associations.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.

J.B. Goodwin

Goodwin is an Austin native and real estate broker and owner of JBGoodwin, REALTORS庐. He is a member of the National Association of REALTORS庐, Texas REALTORS庐, and Austin Board of REALTORS庐. He has served in leadership positions for those associations.

In addition, he is involved in many philanthropic efforts, including serving on the board of directors for the Brackenridge Hospital Foundation, Austin Symphony, Austin Chamber of Commerce, and committee service for the United Way and Austin Community College.

Goodwin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Kristi Davis

Davis, from Carrollton, is a real estate broker and vice president of sales and agent development at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty Texas. She is also president of the board of directors for the North Texas Real Estate Information Services, and member of the Texas Real Estate Research Center Advisory Committee and the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association.鈥�

Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of North Texas.
